On the occasion of the beginning of the Podgorica cultural summer event, a press conference was held today at the Museums and Galleries of the Republic of Croatia, where Ana Medigović, secretary of the Secretariat for Culture and Sport, Zoja Đurović, director of the Art School for Music and Ballet "Vasa Pavić" and Sanja Vojinović spoke. cultural advisor at the Secretariat for Culture and Sports of the Capital City.
Podgorica's cultural summer begins on Monday, June 15, with a concert by students of the Vasa Pavić school, on the plateau in front of the monument to Marko Miljanov at 12.00:21 p.m., and will last until September XNUMX.
The Secretary for Culture and Sports of the Capital City, Ana Medigović, expressed her satisfaction with the start of the 21st traditional manifestation, as well as her gratitude to the media that follow the activities of the Secretariat for Culture and Sports, reminding that this year's edition of the Podgorica Cultural Summer was changed due to the epidemic, but that is diverse in content with 63 programs that will be shared over the next 82 days.
"We had to change the entire concept of the event and adapt it to the situation, but I wouldn't say to the detriment of our audience, on the contrary, this situation made us be more creative and think in a different way. Last year we shyly "conquered" some spaces in the city, and this year we are forced to have all the programs outdoors, so the program will be held in some new locations in the city, and I'm glad about that, and above all, I'm glad that Podgorica we start the cultural summer with the music school Vasa Pavić, because events like this should serve as a platform for young people from Podgorica, high school students, students from Montenegro, artists to show what they know, what they work hard for and for which they will always have the support of the Secretariat for culture" emphasized Medigović and added that she is particularly proud that the program will take place in outdoor locations such as city parks, the plateau in front of the monument, the terrace of the Capital City Assembly, the Mediterranean garden, Gorica hill and many other locations in Podgorica.
The director of the artistic school for music and ballet "Vasa Pavić", Zoja Đurović, expressed her satisfaction with the cooperation with the Secretariat for Culture and Sports of the Capital City, as well as with the selection of locations where this year's program will be implemented.
"Vasa Pavić Art School has the great honor of opening the Podgorica Cultural Summer and giving its concerts a nice sign of summer. We will have concerts by students and professors as well as combined concerts", Đurović pointed out and added that only on the first day of the Podgorica summer, there will be 4 concerts at different locations in the city, while during the duration of the manifestation there will be a total of around 15.
"I am especially proud of the Big Band "Vasa Pavić" and I hope that the Podgorica audience will be convinced that this stole justifies its existence and will do it even better in the future", Đurović concluded.
