After the pandemic, children from the Chinese city of Xian will once again come to the Kotor Children's Theater Festival.
Director of the Friendly Cities Department of the Friendship Association of the City of Xian, Zhang Lan said that the city established friendly relations with Kotor in 2013.
"The children attended the Kotor Children's Theater Festival five times. We expect the continuation of good relations with friendly Kotor", said Lan.
He pointed out that Xian in China is the same as Kotor in Montenegro.
Lan said that last year the citizens of the two cities fought together against the pandemic.
"When we found out that the Kotor General Hospital has only one ventilator, the government and the friendship association of our city donated a new device to Kotor, as well as other materials. Along with the donation, we also shared our experience in the fight against the epidemic," said Lan.
In Beijing, the All-China People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries celebrated the 10th International Friendship Day.
At the event, representatives of friendship associations from various provinces and cities of China presented their provinces, as well as friendly relations with friendly cities of various countries, with artistic performances, intangible cultural heritage and specialties.
The event was attended by about 300 representatives of various Chinese social circles, foreign companies in China, as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps.
On behalf of Montenegro, the temporary charge d'affaires of the Montenegrin embassy in China, Damir Šabanović, participated.
At the end of 2017, the city of Heđin signed an agreement on the establishment of friendly relations with Herceg Novi, and the following year they visited each other.
