Veselin Mišnić is the winner of the "Knight of Slovenian Letters" award at the International Poetry Festival "Slovene Letters", which was held in Mojkovac. The newly established manifestation brought together poets and painters from Serbia, North Macedonia and Montenegro.
The founders of the festival, which takes place in "Poet's Valley" in the village of Slatina, are writers Rodoljub Ćorić and Radomir Uljarević, and the organizer is RTV Mojkovac.
As announced, next year it is planned to be a two-day event with writers from eight Slavic countries. Ćorić says that he expects "Slova Slovenska" with the support of Uljarević, Mišnić and other writer friends, to grow beyond the Balkan borders and become a pan-Slavic and European poetry festival.
The festival was opened by the President of the Municipality, Ranko Mišnić. The special guest was Prof. Dr. Petar Gojković, president of Mondo culta Paris. The verses of several poets were recited by Dragoslav-Lola Medojević, an actor from Banja Luka Narodni. The mediator was Nevena Nenezić, professor of literature.
The festival closed with a mini-concert by the musician Petar Dević.
