Božović appointed director of the Film Center of Montenegro

The government has appointed Aleksandra Božović as the director of the Film Center of Montenegro.

As stated in the Appointment Decision, Božović is a graduate manager in culture and art.

The proposal for the appointment of Božović was submitted by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports.

"In the explanation of the proposal, it is stated: that Article 47 paragraph 1 of the Law on Culture prescribes that the director of a public institution, whose founder is the state, is appointed by the Government on the proposal of the Ministry, and paragraph 2 of the same article prescribes that the director of a public institution, whose founder is the state, appoints an established artist or an established expert in culture; that Article 7 of the Decision on the Foundation of the Public Institution Film Center of Montenegro stipulates that the Film Center is managed by a director appointed and dismissed by the Government in accordance with the law; that the proposal for the appointment of Aleksandra Božović as the director of JU Filmski center of Montenegro fully corresponds with the prescribed legal solutions, and taking into account that he is an established creator and expert in the field of culture, i.e. cinematography," the Decision on the appointment of Božović states.

The decision on the appointment of Božović will be published in the Official Gazette of Montenegro.

It is also stated that an appeal against the decision is not allowed, but that an administrative dispute can be filed before the Administrative Court of Montenegro within 20 days from the date of receipt of the decision.
