The story we will listen to and watch is actually a story about the creation and disappearance of fortresses, their purpose and the relationship we have with them over time. Through three aspects - the very logic of the fortifications, the historical perspective and the significance of the architecture, the film reveals the complete reality of a time and its logic. With these words, Boško Milović, in front of the KOD Organization, announced the screening of the documentary film "Boka's Fortress" in the multimedia hall of Nikšić's Technopolis.

The film, which deals with the topic of fortresses in the Bay of Kotor, created during the period of Austro-Hungarian rule, is signed by director Danilo Vujačić and screenwriter Petar Popadić, and was entirely shot in the production of Organization KOD.

"This area is dominated by Austro-Hungarian and Turkish fortresses. Due to strange circumstances, the book Radojica Raš Pavićević came into our hands, which is called "Werk - Austro-Hungarian fortresses in Montenegro" and which deals with the issue of Austro-Hungarian fortresses built on the territory of Montenegro", explains director Danilo Vujačić, where did the idea to make a film with the mentioned topic come from. .

Pavićević, a retired lieutenant colonel of the SCG Army and an enthusiast for mountaineering and military history, for years visited and researched the Austro-Hungarian fortifications that were built from the mid-19th to the first decade of the 20th century to protect the "Kriegshafen Cattaro", i.e. the War Port of Boka Kotorska - the second most important Austro-Hungarian naval bases on the Adriatic. He is the recipient of the gold medal of the Republic of Austria for his contribution to the preservation of their cultural heritage.

It is Pavićević, together with Milan Šćekić and Aleksandar Kapetanović, who leads the audience through the film and tells them the story of the creation of fortresses whose role, as the director said, was to be strong, solid, able to defend and last.

"They were built to last, but they still failed. It is a moment that is characteristic of a capitalist society, that everything that arises at one moment as a result of the development of that society contains within itself the germ of its own destruction precisely because something new will come that will have to kill the old," he said. Vujacic to "Vijesta".

Filming of the film lasted half a year, production about five months, and although the film was demanding, the team full of enthusiasm, as pointed out by Vujacic, did not allow that demand to be an obstacle.

Screenwriter Petar Popadić admits that it was inspiring to make a film about a fortress you know from childhood.

"We didn't know what we were going to face in the beginning. It was actually a research process, so every step in the creation of that film was a kind of realization for us. In this film we all learned together, both we who created it and the interlocutors. We hope that the audience will also enter into some process of creative learning. That was the idea. We didn't want to make a point with the film, but for viewers to come to their own conclusions," said Popadić.

Although it is difficult to find and even reach experts who know fortresses in Montenegro, Petar says that they and their interlocutors found each other and learned from each other. He knows the film "by heart", and yet, as he said, when he watches it, he learns something new every time.

"Man is like a fortress - closed", said the screenwriter and added that they are ready for new projects.

Neither he nor the director wanted to reveal which projects they were talking about.

"We are still working out a plan for what's next. There will surely be something of this type, maybe with Radojica. During the next year, the process will begin, that's for sure", promised Vujacic.

The Austrian ambassador to Montenegro, Karl Müller, also attended the screening of the film.
