The Kolašin Culture Center and the "Ljubo Anđelić" National Library have announced the second competition for the "Milo Bošković" poetry award. The competition is open until December 12 this year.
"According to the proposals, poets from Montenegro and the region, up to the age of 37, have the right to participate in the competition, and each author can send one unpublished poem. The code-signed song and the solution to the code (in another document) are sent electronically to the e-mail address bibliotekolasin@gmail.com. By applying for an award at the competition, the authors of the poems automatically assign the copyright to the Kolašin Cultural Center to publish the selected poems in the Collection of Poems from the second competition for the "Milo Bošković" poetry award. The jury will also select the best songs this time and award three prizes in the amount of 400, 200 and 100 euros," said librarian Danijela Đukić.
The Milo Bošković Days event was held for the first time last year and is supported by the Ministry of Culture and the Municipality of Kolašin. As many as 189 poets from the country and the region applied for the first poetry prize competition.
The organizers expect a large number of applications this year as well.
"The main goal of this and similar events of the JU Center for Culture and the National Library is the affirmation of native writers, and in this case, the revival of the work of a creator unfairly neglected in the environment from which he originated. The three prizes will be awarded, if the epidemiological measures allow, at the end of December at a literary evening dedicated to the writer Milo Bošković, and the exact date will be announced in due time," said Đukić.
She reminds that these days anyone interested can get acquainted with Bošković's literary oeuvre, because his works are exhibited in the premises of the "Ljubo Anđelić" National Library.
