Marina Abramović: An attack on Ukraine is an attack on all of us

An artist Marina Abramović she condemned the Russian invasion of Ukraine and said that the military attacks must stop immediately.

Stating that she was born in Yugoslavia - a country where cultures from the West and Russia from the East intersected, Marina Abramović stated that in recent years she worked in Ukraine and met the people there, who are proud, strong and dignified.

"I express full solidarity with them. An attack on Ukraine is an attack on all of us, on humanity. It has to stop!", said Marina Abramović in a short video on social networks.

Artists in Ukraine, as well as many in Russia, condemned the Russian invasion of Ukraine and demanded an immediate cessation of hostilities.

Russia's attacks on Ukraine began on February 24 in the early morning hours, and a day later, according to unofficial information, Russian troops entered the Ukrainian capital, Kiev. In the meantime, both sides expressed their readiness for negotiations.
