The regional union of theaters, the Ruta Grupa Triglav festival will open this evening in Podgorica with the performance of the City Theater "Horses kill, don't they?" which is according to the text Maje Pelević directed Kokan Mladenovic. The theater festival starts tonight at 20:10 in the Cultural and Information Center "Budo Tomović", where until April XNUMX, popular performances of regional theaters gathered around the Union will be performed. After each performance in the Dodest hall, discussions with the participants will be organized.
Tonight's show features: Dusan Kovačević (who replaces Emir Hadžihafizbegović in the role of Konferanci), Marija Đurić, Omar Bajramspahić, Vanja Jovićević, Goran Slavić, Jelena Simic, Dejan Đonović, Branka Femić Šćekić/Ivona Čović Jaćimović, Vukan Pejović, Katarina Krek i Željko Radunović.
After the performance of the play, the moderator of the discussion in Dodest will be a playwright from the City Theater Dragana Tripković.
The idea of uniting the city theaters of the region came from the Podgorica City Theater and that is how RUTA was born in 2019, with the aim of establishing cooperation, communication and exchange of ideas, artists and projects.
The Union connects six theaters from the region, through a series of revue festivals of the best productions of the participants in their home cities. The members of the Ruta group of the Triglav Festival are: Belgrade Drama Theater, Ullysses Theater from Zagreb, Local Theater Ljubljana, Kamerni Treatar 55 from Sarajevo, Drama Theater Skopje and City Theater Podgorica.
After the opening tonight, the program of the festival also includes: the play "Land of Wolves" directed by Gale Nikolic, a production of Ulysses Theater from Zagreb on Wednesday; on Thursday, the Ljubljana Municipal Theater will present the play "Black Cumin Oil" by the director Barbara Zemlić, Chamber Theater 55 from Sarajevo will present itself with the popular play "Schindler's Lift" directed by Kokan Mladenović, Drama Theater Skopje with a play Branislav Mićunović "My name is Goran Stefanovski" on Saturday, April 9, and the Belgrade Drama Theater will close the show on Sunday with the play "Silently Flowing Mississippi" directed by Ivica Buljan.
The accompanying program of the Ruta Grupa Triglav festival in Podgorica includes a masterclass Zijah A. Sokolović "Only an actor questions the theater" which the famous actor will hold on April 11 at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Cetinje from 14 a.m. to XNUMX p.m.
