The display of artistic flags is dedicated to the topic of migration, which is very current during the first two decades of the 21st century, but is also very close to the issue that has a long history in the Balkans. The dilemma posed in the title of the exhibition is mainly imposed on young people who want a better life, better conditions for learning, training and advancement, who want guaranteed financial independence and security, and more active participation in the manifestations of a globally connected world, the description of the exhibition points out.
"The existentially important question 'To leave or stay?' it is set as a challenging topic for young artists - students, who, after finishing their education, will most likely find themselves facing the same dilemma. Their consideration of questions will not solve many things, but they will surely open numerous questions about the political, economic, social and cultural reality in our society, indicate what bothers their generation in order to feel safe and believe in a prosperous future, and then offer suggestions, ideas. and models of possible responses, perhaps even some kind of utopian vision that is capable of offering hope that it is possible and necessary to stay here, that it is possible to build a personal and collective existence, that it is possible to achieve changes that will guide us towards a normality worthy of human creation and living . Their consideration of the question 'To leave or to stay?' It certainly won't solve many things, but it will offer numerous proposals and models of possible answers, perhaps a utopian vision that is capable of providing hope," said the curator. Sava Stepanov.
The installation runs until June 18.
