What lies deep beneath the surface? Soul, secrets, hidden longings, emotions, poetry... Angela. There are also hopes, fears, dormant romance, defiance of youth, the maturity of a poet...and Angel again. There is also one evening, collection, humanity and... Angel.
In the organization of the literary club "Poenta Poetika" and JU "Zahumlje", a poetic and humanitarian evening of the poetess from Nikšić was organized. Angels Backovic in which she presented the third collection of songs "Duboko sopod zvrje".
"There are about 60 poems in the collection, neither too few nor too many to read, and the theme is standard - love. This collection differs from the previous two perhaps in my poetic maturity. Although I still have a lot to reach certain heights, I strive for it", the lawyer by education and poet by vocation told "Vijesti" with a smile.
She admits that she didn't even know how vulnerable and "closed" she was until she used her pen and "scratched" deep below the surface. There, the "barefoot girl" found a woman ready to love, forgive and give.
According to the words It saves Bajović, a writer and literary critic, Anđela is "a poet of particular chastity, all in a tide of sincere tones and sounds that circulate on the poetic stage of life in the form of rhyme and free verse."
"Her collection is a kind of intimacy, an invisible mirror of the soul that radiates waves of love unrest and bitter insomnia from the depths of being in love, which flutter in the reaches of the rainbow, on the lips of thunder, in the labyrinths of desires, deep below the surface of brightness and colorful memories. Those threads of love echo in the chambers of the heart, in the reflection of light and darkness that whisper together under the blanket of stars," said Bajović.
As he pointed out, Anđela, through warm, sincere and occasionally vulnerable tones, strives to create powerful poetic images of what has been experienced and dreamed.
"Fight with dark temptations for the new morning, for the sick branches of sleep, learn the password of the clouds, manage to establish an unbreakable bond of love between the shores. At night, he leaves the door of the house open for his sun, searching for the essence of life, for more immediate touches," said Bajović.
As he wrote in the book Veselin Beli Boskovic, Angela's songs captivate with a wealth of verses, metaphors, epithets, evoking nostalgia for the good old lyrics.
"Angela is a poet of a return to a somewhat forgotten romance, he restores faith in the possibility of sincere love and offers an escape from our fortresses of alienation in this stormy time where everything is going madly forward, and we don't even know where to go," wrote Bošković.
In him too, the verses of the young poet caused nostalgia, enough for him to compose and sing Angela's two songs, Fenix and Murni čas, at the promotion.
The verses were spoken by the author and the drama artist Miro Nikolic, with the musical accompaniment of a guitar teacher Slobodan Bogdanović, while the moderator of the evening was Borko Radulović.
Poetry for humanitarian purposes
Angela's creativity is aimed at humanitarian purposes and from the sale of the collections she helps vulnerable categories of society.
Thus, the money from the sale of the first collection, "Čekam te", was allocated to children with developmental disabilities, "The Sound of Silence" was for paraplegics, while the funds collected during the promotion of the collection "Deep below the surface" were allocated to the Association of Disabled Youth Nikšić (UMHNK). .
"Poetry is my hobby, not my job, and I wish to direct all funds to humanitarian purposes. The most important thing for me is that inner feeling. My soul and heart are full, and everything else is fleeting," said the humanitarian poet.
UMHNK director Ivana Brajičić thanked Anđela for her humanitarian act and handed her a certificate of appreciation.
