The sixteenth consecutive White Field Jazz Festival starts tomorrow in Bijelo Polje.
The event, which will last for two days, is organized by JU "Ratković's Poetry Evenings."
The director of that public institution, Kemal Music, said that a rich supporting program will be performed at the festival by well-known musical names.
The official opening is scheduled for 20:15.
The first evening is reserved only for jazz music and will be opened by the Bjelopolis pop-rock group "Acoustic therapy", followed by the performance of jazz artist Đorđe Obradović, who inherits the original jazz from New Orleans.
Along with them, on the first evening of the festival, a concert will be held by the Montenegrin group "Kind of blues", led by our famous jazz artist Šule Jovović, and then the Macedonian jazz band "Svetlost", a band that plays not only in Macedonia and its surroundings, but throughout the whole to the world", said Music.
The day before tomorrow, on the second night of the White Field Jazz Festival, the band "Osvajači" will perform.
"I hope that the Bijelo Polje audience will enjoy the concert of a group that has proven itself in the area of the former Yugoslavia. Before them, the ethnic group from Rožaj 'Teferidž', which inherits the traditional local music of the north of Montenegro, as well as the great blues orchestra from Podgorica 'Jesenjin', 'led by our famous poet Svetalna Kalezić,' announced Musić, explaining that White Field Jazz The festival is enriched by genres and is not exclusively jazz.
In addition to music concerts, in which big musical names will perform, accompanying cultural programs will also be held.
"Before the official opening, on Wednesday at 19 p.m., there will be an exhibition of art paintings by Edin Erović Macan, our native of Bijelopol, who has not had the opportunity to stand out until now. His art is somehow connected with jazz, so we decided to include his exhibition in this year's program. This year we will promote the book "Veil over the C River" by Melida Tavančić, which we published a few days ago. It is about travel poetry, and one song is dedicated to the House of Risto Ratković, so we are pleased that this work will be promoted at our jazz festival," said Music.
