This is a celebration of poetry and tears, a promotion of a spiritual creation dedicated to the unconquered time and restless wounds of Piva. For a time without sleep or eyes, I carried the cry of stone silence inside me for an entire eternity with the desire to condense it all into a song. I wanted that more than all the literary events and programs I participated in," said the poet Spasoje Bajović at the promotion of his book "The Road to Fire", dedicated to beer victims who were killed in Doli, in the Second World War.
He said that while he was writing verses of defense that try to tame the fire, he fought not to be choked by tears, to remain composed as a stone witness to the future. This is how his poetic odyssey was born, "songs that try to be a mediator between dying and divine ascension".
He also admitted that "the book died several times" until it saw the light of day, that the poems rushed to break through the walls of the unfathomable past.
"The book tries to save from oblivion the most terrible death in the history of Piva. May all the victims I did not mention be forgiven. This book carries them in its heart", said the author of the lyrics about the time when Piva's eyes burned, when "silence groaned in the arms of heaven".
Reviewer prof. Ph.D Dear Bojović she said that the book is "a poetic tribute to the victims and eternal human and knightly dignity and a tribute to those who refuse revenge".
According to the words Milice Kralj, Bajović's poetic cry that comes from the center of Piva Dol is a book of memory in which the author "carves names - dedications on stone gravestones with a pen like a chisel".
Another reviewer, Sofija Simović, she pointed out that everything happened in this book, on the "Road to the Fire" itself - history, philosophy, religion, the tragedy of a nation also happened, the living wounds, the fruitful Beer.
She pointed out that the title of the book is the author's "other self", his essence, because the road to the fire is a combination of multidimensional images, a complex and difficult metaphor.
"This is not an ordinary fire, because this fire burns its essence and in its powerlessness seeks water to sanctify it, to complete good and evil, to reconcile repentance and sin," said Simović.
Editors of Bajović's book, which is enriched with pictures Milovan Miki Radulović, su Jovan Draskovic i Miloš Kecojević, while the publishers are the Municipality of Plužine and the "Vladimir Mijušković" Library Association.
Verses from the book were spoken by mr Desanka Jauković i Miro Nikolić, drama artist, while the mediator was a journalist Diana Savovic. The musical accompaniment was a guitar teacher Slobodan Bogdanović. The organizers of the event were the "Vladimir Mijušković" Nikšić Literary Association and the "Zahumlje" Nikšić University, as part of the November repertoire of the Nikšić cultural scene.
