The conversation on the topic "Albert Camus: against the canon of the world" will be held today in Nikšić, in the hall of Zahumlja at 18 pm.
"In this way, he wants to bring the work of this French writer and philosopher of the 20th century closer to the audience, since the questions that Camus asks in his major works 'The Myth of Sisyphus', 'The Stranger' and 'The Rebel Man' are also being asked in this time, and that concern every human being", the organizers point out in the press release.
The focus of the conversation, they add, will be Camus's questions about man's responsibility towards himself and others, about the crisis of individualism, alienation, freedom, resistance and the like.
Participants in the conversation are: dr Jasmina Ahmetagić, professor, literary critic and theoretician who is also the author of the monograph "The Book of Camus: Poetics of Measure" (Belgrade, Dereta, 2017) and others Miodrag Čizmović, professor of philosophy and director of JU Zahumlje.
The conversation will be moderated Andjela Peković, editor of the cultural program at Zahumlje University. The organizer of the event is JU Zahumlje, within the November repertoire of Nikšić's cultural scene for 2022.
