On the occasion of the Day of the Municipality of Kotor, as part of the program marking 70 years of existence and work of the Maritime Museum in that city, a monograph on the work of the institution so far was published by this cultural institution.
The Monograph of the Maritime Museum is the first complete presentation of the development of the museum and museum activities in Kotor, but also a testimony of the Museum's enormous contribution to the cultural and maritime heritage of Kotor, Boka Kotorska and Montenegro.
The author Radojka Abramović, head of the museum sector, art historian, writes in the introductory part about the history of the Museum, its connection with the Bokel Navy, about the Grgurin family - the original owners, and the architecture of the palace itself, where this institution has been housed since its creation in 1952.
She referred to the formation of the first collections, the first exhibitions, the development of the museum into a respectable and scientific-research institution with an increasing role in the culture and promotion of Kotor's cultural heritage.
Also, an overview of all realized activities from 1952 to the present is given, as well as a list of books published by the Maritime Museum.
The promotion of the monograph will take place in the palace of Grgurina, tomorrow at 19:XNUMX. He will speak at the promotion Andro Radulović, director of the Maritime Museum of Montenegro, Radojka Abramović, author i Ljiljana Zeković, reviewer. He will perform in the musical part of the program Dušica Kordić, violinist and Nikola Vuckovic, piano.
