As part of the accompanying program of the eighth edition Manifestations of chamber drama productions MAKADO on Monday evening, the exhibition "Montenegro Theater History" was opened, the author of which is the editor of the publishing activity of the Nikšić Theater Slavojka Marojević.
She pointed out that she is proud that KIC "Budo Tomović" recognized the importance of this project and included it in the program of the prominent manifestation. On the panels displayed in the hall of the KIC, visitors can gain an insight into the initiation and development of theater art, and each of the panels is dedicated to different theater institutions, divided by city. The central place, on the other hand, is occupied by a panel dedicated to the development path of the Montenegrin National Theatre.
Marojević reminded that the idea of the realization of the exhibition was conceived in Podgorica, and that the nature of the setting is narrative-illustrative and speaks of the development of dramatic art in Montenegro through the ages.
"The basis of the exhibition consists of rich documentary and scientific material, as well as theatrical studies and research... The goal was to connect and establish inter-institutional cooperation with other theaters that have dramatic creativity in their production, but also to bring this rich material closer to the audience about dramatic art and its importance for Montenegrin society", she pointed out.
Novinar Vanja Kovačević he said that the exhibition chronologically and phenomenologically follows the development of the theater and the theatrical act, pointing out its value. At the opening, he pointed out the different roles of the theater, but also that its essence is to warn and, sometimes in an artistic way, exclaim and admonish what we are and what we should not become.
"In the photographs of this exhibition, there are artistic and theatrical stories from the south to the north, reminding that life without art, especially without theater, would hardly be possible," he said.
Marojević expressed her gratitude to colleagues from cultural centers, theaters, local museums, as well as theater scholars and drama artists who contributed to the preparation of the project.
Emphasizing the importance of the exhibition as a result of the cooperation between the Podgorica KIC and the Nikšić Theater, the producer of the Makado festival, Zoran Šoškić on behalf of the host, he reminded that all those interested can view the exhibition until February 13, when this year's Makada edition officially ends.
