His scientific research is primarily focused on fantastic literature, erotic and language-experimental layers in the Serbian tradition, reception theory, postmodernism and comparative studies. In addition to numerous articles in periodicals, he published a considerable number of books. He taught at the Department of Slavic Studies at the University of Tübingen (Germany); and he also gave lectures at the Universities of Regensburg, Freiburg, Berlin, Halle, Trier, Göttingen, Bonn, Turin, Venice, Krakow, Wroclaw, Warsaw, Gdańsk, Lodz, Opole, Sosnoviec, Veliki Trnov, Ljubljana, Zagreb, Cetinje, Skopje , Budapest, Kiev and Lviv. She has published three scientific monographs, "The Inner Side of Time", "Literary Observations" and "Endless Roads - Reception of Yugoslav Fantastic Prose", she is the editor of the edition "Fantastica Montenegrina - Selection of Montenegrin Fantastic Stories of the Second Half of the 20th Century" and the founder and editor-in-chief of the first magazine for fiction in literature and art in Montenegro called "Athanatik".

He is a participant in international conferences in Zadar, Sarajevo, Novi Sad, Kragujevac, Lviv, Gdańsk, Katowice, Wroclaw, as well as other scientific gatherings in the country.
