This book provides a wealth of information about lighthouses on the stretch from Savudrija in Istria to Oštro rt at the entrance to Boka, their technical characteristics, construction and history, the organization and former functioning of the lighthouse service, but also the specific life of lighthouse keepers at these facilities, often built in remote and uninhabited places islands, reefs or isolated parts of the Adriatic coast that have preserved their original, untouched beauty even today.
The documentary "Legends of the lights" introduces us to the last lighthouse keepers of the eastern coast of the Adriatic and their way of life. Through the stories of the lighthouse keepers, we also learn interesting anecdotes along with colorful shots, which are by no means lacking in places like this.
