Theater, film and television actor Tanasije Uzunović, who was remembered for his role as Rajko Malešević in the television series "My cousin from the village", died at the age of 81, reports RTS.
Tanasije Uzunović was born in Niš in 1942. He studied acting at the Academy for Theatre, Film and Television in Belgrade. He played on theater stages in Belgrade, Novi Sad and Nis.
He became a member of the Yugoslav Drama Theater in 1967. Since January 16, 2002, he has been permanently engaged in the National Theater in Belgrade. He retired on September 25, 2005.
He played several notable roles in TV dramas and films: Steps through the fog, Misery, The Maiden's Bridge, Coach, The Man Who Should Be Killed, What's Up With You Nina?, Lager Niš, Atoski Gardens, Kosovo Battle, Collection Center...
He played, alongside Vincent Perez, in the film Scandal in a Roman Bank (Stefan Reali).
