The Royal Theater "Zetski dom" recently published the second, supplemented and expanded edition of the publication "Zetski dom Theater 1884-1896", by Luke I. Milunović, which deals with the development of regular theater life in Montenegro until 1896, i.e. until the ceremonial opening of the first organized Montenegrin theater building.
Another book by the same author "Zetski dom Theater 1897-1909" is being prepared, which will connect a significant date in the life of "Zetski dom" with the beginning of the first Montenegrin professional theater.
"With the content of the publication, as a logical continuation of the themes, a very significant date in the life of the 'Zeta House' will be connected with the beginning of the work of the first Montenegrin professional theater. With this publication, along with our already published editions, we can say that Montenegro will get a rounded presentation of the development of regular theater life until the First World War", announced from Zetski dom.
The basis for the creation of the publication "Theatre Zetski dom 1897-1909", in addition to the results of archival and library research, and the contents of monographic publications authored or edited by Milunović, is also a considerable number of works published in the proceedings of scientific meetings, scientific and professional journals, but also occasionally in specialized and general periodicals, they add from Zetski dom.
"Four main aspects of the book, following the structure of the content of published publications presented so far, make up the chapters: 'Towards a professional state theatre'; 'Theatrical and cultural production in Cetinje'; 'Tours of traveling theater troupes'; 'Decoration of Zetski dom'. In addition, the publication will offer an overview of the stage production outside the capital in the Principality of Montenegro in 1897-1909 and other contributions that will help the reader to see the treated topic more fully", according to the Royal Theatre.
The completion of printing and promotion of the book "Zetski dom Theater 1897-1909" is planned by the end of the current theater season.
