The Tourist Organization (TO) Nikšić, in cooperation with the hotel "Onogošt", decided to present the city to the people of Nikšić through the lens of young photographers, and to evoke "Onogošt - the city and people", as it is called, with different themes, as well as colors and emotions. conceptual exhibition.
"Currently, we have an expansion of photographers in the city, and very young people who do this work very well, but who do not have an exhibition space where they could present their work. We decided to give them the opportunity to present five young photographers in the first part of the concept in the dairy restaurant 'Onogošta', which has an interesting light and is a very frequent place, but also to promote the tourist potential of Nikšić and its penetration into the tourism market of Montenegro and of the region", he said Nikola Pekovic, in front of TO Nikšić.
The first segment of the exhibition will last five months and five photographers, on a monthly basis, will have the opportunity to present themselves to the people of Nikšić with 12 photos each, and the topics will be different. What they will have in common is that they will all, from their point of view, present the city under Trebjes and the people in it.
The honor of opening the story "Onogošt - city and people" fell to her Nikola Mihailović who has been involved in photography for six years.
"My father introduced me to the world of photography. I liked that, it turned from a hobby into a business, but the most important thing remained the love for photography. When you start doing this job and you are not that recognizable, there is that shyness, so you try to make the moment you record something beautiful, to take a high-quality photo, without infringing someone's privacy," said Mihailović.
Although color photos are much more popular, Nikola admits that black and white ones are more attractive to him. Whose value "grows with age" and which have "a trapped emotion that lasts even after the first, second, third viewing". After all, in a black-and-white world, it is perhaps best to let the observer color the "captured moment" in his own way.
"It is very interesting for me to go out and photograph the city when there is rain, fog, snow. But without the people on them, it's not that, because this city is made up of the people who live in it. They represent the essence and soul of the city, and I'm glad that I became recognizable for my style, that my photos evoke emotion in my fellow citizens, and that in this way I left a mark behind me - a mark of the city, people, of a moment," Mihailović said. .
After him, the photographers will be introduced Dado Kočet, Ivan Glušica, Vasilije Milošević i Vasilije Pejović, which will complete the first part of the five-month concept.
"The second part of the exhibition will refer to the exhibition of artistic photographs and will last three months, and three artistic photographers will have the opportunity to present themselves", said Peković and emphasized the good cooperation with the hotel "Onogošt" and the Nikšić Theater.
