Always be a poet, even in prose, he said Charles Baudelaire. Not without reason. Those who have been spreading the word of poetry in Piva for 52 years know this best.
This was also the case last weekend when, during the two-day event, numerous poets from the country and the region, as well as other literary creators and university professors, arranged poetic and literary threads at the event "Poetry at the Source of Beer", organized by the Center for Culture and the Municipality of Plužine.
And again the word would be in Piva. And a poetic one, which opened with the promotion of the collection of works "Travels Budimir Dubaka”, which was organized by the Plužine Culture Center. They talked about Dubak's work Jovan A fraction i Selimir Radulović. After "Dubak's Journey", visitors had the opportunity to hear the poet's "Bees are singing in the gate" morning Mićanović.
The meetings were also an opportunity to present new books by creators from Piva, which were published between the two events, and which were presented by Ranko Mićanović. Then there are native poets, Milena Kulic i Momchilo Copper, took the word, and poetry Cost Radović, founder of "Poetic Words", the oldest literary manifestation in Montenegro, and Bozidar Živković Džigi, who is responsible for the "Tara without Borders" literary meetings, the audience was presented by Mićanović and Milica Copper.
"Beer, the river of words has arrived. Beer, about mine and yours. Beer, high my forehead. Beer, medicinal plant, wild sun of freedom", Džigi sang.
This year they "sang" the best Paul Zeljic from Serbia and Sara Međedović from Nikšić, winners of this year's "Rescue Pajo Blagojević" and "Radule Željko Damjanović" literary awards.
Jury in composition Radomir Uljarević, Milica Kralj and Milica Bakrač, assessed that the collection of poetry by Pavle Zeljić is "an exceptionally mature poetic achievement whose luxurious and playful imagination moves through the enigmatic spaces of this visible and predictable world".
"With the special dimension of singing, the author points to the all-pervading elements of matter and spirit as a dynamic conflict whose alternating appearance reflects the amazing energy of the poet's revelation and shaping into songs of high results", explained the jury.
Milenko Mićanović, director of the Plužine Center for Culture, which will print Zeljić's book, congratulated the award-winning poets and wished them to continue creating.
"Poetry is not a dead heritage. Because of Njegosha to the aforementioned professor Negrishorc we have the arc of poetry which is struggle and survival. In essence, my poetry is primarily based on the angels that buzz from those things or voids", said Zeljić, who in 2019 had his collection of poems "Ikar and Messiah" published as a prize at the "Lim Poetry Evenings" competition.
Sara Međedović from Nikšić, a master's student in political science in Podgorica, decided to send her poems an hour before the competition closed, and thus her first competition ended victoriously. The jury consisted of Milica Bakrač, Ranko Mićanović and Mirko Lale Damjanović, had no dilemma - her poetry deserves to be awarded.
"I have no doubts about her talent and mind, and I want her to become a great poet," Damjanović said after presenting the award.
Part of the program was dedicated to writers who passed away during the past year, Rajku Petrov Nog, Milovan Danojlović i Mica Cvijetić, and academician Jovan Delić reminded of their creativity...
Delić emphasized that Nogo literally defended himself from death with poetry, he was a master of verse and sound in verse, and the books of Danojlović, which he wrote and also translated, are a whole library of pure pearls. According to Delic, Cvijetić, who was a doctor of literary sciences, poet, literary theorist, critic, travel writer and journalist, was the best Serbian connoisseur of Lusatian Serb literature.
The second day of the meeting began with a symposium on literary work criticism George Nesic, while during the traditional boat ride on Lake Piva, the book of last year's winner of the "Rescue Pajo Bajović" award was presented. Pavla Bukilić. The evening hours were reserved for a festive poetic gathering, a portrait of the poet was presented Animal Rakočević, a poetry meeting was held, and she brought down the curtain on this year's meetings Vera Horvat.
He led the event Željko Vuksanovic.
Symbiosis of poetry and sculpture of the last stonemason of our age
Even this year's meetings could not pass without an exhibition, and this time the audience had the opportunity to see the works of Ratko Vulanović, an artist who managed to translate the soul of stone into sculptures, and who was called the last stonemason of our time, but dotted pictures of the world "that exclude every dimension", as well as nuns, unique granite black sculptures.
The exhibition of sculptures by the artist who died in March of this year was opened by Radomir Uljarević, who pointed out that the artistic and civic circles could not forgive him such fame, so they simultaneously glorified and rejected him.
"Ratko Vulanović conceived the cosmos in miniature in his works. Although often huge, his compositions actually represented only a model of cosmic infinity," said Uljarević.
He also emphasized that it will be difficult for anyone to repeat the symbiosis of poetry and sculpture, as Vulanović did.
