On the occasion of the selection of the new artistic director of the Royal Theater "Zetski dom", a group of artists announced that they support Stella Mišković as a candidate for the position.
"On the XNUMXst of August, the mandate of long-time director Lidija Dedović expired. The team of this house, together with the ensemble, had a string of successes and were the pride of Montenegrin culture both inside and outside the borders of our country. We want this great journey to continue with another successful step - the election As there is no competition for the position of artistic director of the Zetski Dom through which the Council of Theaters would vote for a registered candidate worthy of such an important position, but the Government also appoints without consulting a committee made up of prominent artists from this field of culture, we believe that is the common conviction of all of us that this position should be filled with a person whose references match the rich history of the theater," the announcement states.
They pointed out that the unofficial information is that the newly elected director of the Royal Theater Luka Radović told the Minister of Culture Maša Vlaović who he would like to collaborate with during his mandate.
"With this letter, we want to support Mr. Radović's proposal and draw the attention of the responsible persons to a person whose artistic achievements are worthy of respect," it added.
"The work of Stella Mišković, the playwright, is best witnessed by her collaborators, domestic and internationally recognized directors, such as: Paolo Madjeli, Boris Liješević, Dora Ruždjak Podolski, Ana Vukotić, Dino Mustafić, Branislav Mićunović, Selma Spahić, Mirko Radonjić, Zoran Rakočević, etc. work with actors, love for the theater make Mišković ready to cooperate steadfastly, smartly, with knowledge of theater art at an extremely high level. There are numerous professional and also human references that are connected to her name and by which she is recognized. For years, Mišković has participated in theater and filmmaking both in Montenegro and in the region. Stella Mišković's rich and varied biography as well as the need for constant improvement and self-improvement position her among the most important theater creators in Montenegro," the announcement reads.
They emphasized that they believe that, due to all of the above, she is a worthy candidate for the new artistic director of the Royal Theater "Zetski dom", and that with this announcement, they propose to consider her candidacy.
"Inspired by the new National Program for the Development of Culture, as well as the long-awaited amendments to the Law on Culture, by which we are advocating that people with distinguished references and biographies be appointed to the positions of directors, through a competition, we believe that the letter we are writing to you is in favor of the theater and of the entire dignity of the culture of Montenegro," the statement of the group of artists states.
They called on the Government of Montenegro and the Ministry of Culture and Media, headed by Minister Maša Vlaović, to take their proposal into consideration.
They concluded that they hope that it will be recognized as founded and, above all, affirmative for the artistic creativity of Montenegro.
