Ratković's poetry evenings, the 53rd in a row, open tonight in Bijelo Polje and will last until September 5. During the three days of the event, a rich literary program was prepared, suitable for all ages. Exhibitions of paintings by famous authors will be organized as part of the literary meetings.
The program begins with the opening of the exhibition at 18 p.m., called "The Spirit Works", where about 80 documents will be presented: an extract from the register, school certificates, diplomas, his manuscripts, letters and everything that made up the life of Risto Ratković, which will remain permanently in his house.
After the official opening at 20:XNUMX p.m., the International poetry evening "There it is, Lim flows by the sea" will follow, while a music-poetry evening will be held afterwards.
"In addition to the promotion of the local and regional written word, this year's program of literary and poetic meetings "Ratković's evenings of poetry" will also mark the 120th anniversary of the birth of Rist Ratković, a great Montenegrin writer, and a reminder of his life and creative work," said Kemal Music, director of JU Ratković's evenings of poetry.
He pointed out that this literary festival will gather eminent poets from Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, North Macedonia, Slovenia, as well as France, Turkey and Palestine.
"This year we are expecting a good program, systematically well thought out, with high-quality participants. We have a slightly more concise, but also more specific program. Namely, in previous years we also had some other types of artistic activities, we have them this year as well, but with an emphasis on poetry." , pointed out Music.
The programs will be held at several locations in the city - the House of Rist Ratković, the Town and Vocational High School library, the Poets' Park and the Town Park.
The event was supported by the Municipality of Bijelo Polje and the Ministry of Culture of Montenegro.
