Tonight, starting at 19 p.m., an evening by cartoonist Goran Šćekić will be organized in the Plužine Center for Culture. In addition to the presentation of the books, "We do not give saints" and "Sheep 2", there will also be an exhibition of 30 of Šćekić's caricatures relevant to social events in Montenegro. Prof. Prof. Dr. Boris Brajović and writer Milica Bakrač.
Šćekić has been engaged in caricature since 1992, when he published his first work in the daily newspaper Pobjeda, after which his creations appeared in numerous newspapers and magazines. Since 1999, he has been working for the daily newspaper "Dan".
He published more than 14.000 cartoons. In addition to caricature, he also works in comics and has published more than 400 works so far. He is the recipient of numerous awards and recognitions, including two awards from the Association of Journalists of Montenegro and the Beran Liberation Award. He had more than 20 solo and a dozen collective exhibitions.
"The dominant themes of Šćekić's caricatures are politics, corruption, economy, and they largely contribute to suppressing negative events in society. Šćekić works professionally in the research field of unmanned aerial vehicles," the announcement reads.
Goran Šćekić's evening is organized by the Plužine Culture Center.
