Are we ready to be what we are not, to "sell" ourselves and be someone else for the sake of fame, fortune or money? Is our world the best or are we just deceiving ourselves, or is the world of others different from us better and nobler, and we don't want to admit it? The drama "Nobelovci" will give answers to these and many other questions. Processing of Nenezić, with which the Bjelopolska Theater will open the new season, and the premiere is scheduled for October 2.
Production Bjelopoljsko pozorište, in addition to its very successful amateur theater, whose crown is the Festival of Dramatic Amateurs that has lasted for more than half a century, tries to establish the continuity of creation and professional performances, relying, above all, on drama artists from Bjelo Polje, who are, for the most part, built their talents and successful careers outside their hometown. Such is the project "Nobelovci", for which the text and direction are signed by Nenezić, while the roles are entrusted to a small but selected team - Omar Bajramspahić, Moamer Kasumovic, Jovan Dabović, Petar Novaković i Sladjani Merdovic.
"When they invited me to work for the 'Bjelopoljsko pozorište', I knew what the city had at its disposal, because our conversations have been going on for a decade or more. It is a pleasure for every author to work when he knows he can count on Moamer Kasumović, Petar Novaković, Omar Bajramspahić and a whole series of exceptional actors from the Lim Valley. Especially when you have a modest budget and limited time. I knew I could count on a small but exceptional team, so I opted for the 'Nobelians', because the story of artificial intelligence, androids, gynoids, but also vultures and hochstaplers has never been more relevant", said Nenezić for "Vijesti".
This witty drama, which was written about twenty years ago and declared the first futuristic witty drama in our country, is just as relevant today because, as Nenezić said, "circumstances and science seem to change, but people remain the same".
"This is a story about those who are different from us and whom we do not accept and discriminate against, and who are better and more advanced than us. That's why 'Nobelovci' cannot be signed as a comedy, but as a witty drama, because the main character suffers from Tourette's syndrome, but is also on the verge of some kind of scientific autism, which will win... During the whole process, I research which world is better. The unknown - who is foreign to us, or the known who are ruining us by various tailors of destinies and common sense... My characters left here... But the question is where is better, because it is impossible to leave from one's mentality and state", explains the playwright and writer Nenezić.
Ten years ago, the new building of the Nikšić Theater was opened with a production of "The Nobel Prize Winners", and the text was translated into Slovenian and English. The "Nobel winners" had public readings at the "Preglej na glas" festivals in Ljubljana and at the "Sterija Theater" in Novi Sad.
"The poetic and dramatic world of 'Nobel Laureates' is the 'autistic' world of a young genius (Bajramspahić) who creates humane androids to help humanity. The mother (Kasumović) of the young genius takes her son from our country to heal him, but realizes that the world cannot heal him, but he can that world...his world. Then when the scientific planet recognizes his talent and nominates him for the Nobel Prize in Science, then everyone will accept him. His success changes everyone but him, in a human and ethical sense. Success attracts various characters who create conflicts, which make this futuristic witty drama also a comedy of confusion, situation and character. In the play, we will also meet Van Nistelvan (Dabović), a diplomat from our region, as well as influencer Margo M. (Merdović), and the father (Novaković) of a young genius who, among other things, is a dealer in everything and everyone, including human organs." , points out Nenezić and adds that all the characters are ready to change their identity for a little fame or money.
He did the scenography for the play Milivoje Mico Kovačević, the original music is signed Slobodanka Dabović Đurić, while the producers Jasmin Ćorović i Samir Zaimović.
