Milica Kralj and Spasoje Bajović, winners of the "Mirko Banjević" award

The "Mirko Banjević" award for 2021 and 2022 for poetry, which is awarded by the "Mirko Banjević" Literary Association from Nikšić, was awarded to Milica Kralj from Podgorica for the collection "Čisanica" and Spasoje Bajović from Nikšić for the book of poems "Put u vatru". Thus, the jury composed of prof. Dr. Dragan Koprivica, president, and Dr. Radoje Femić and MSc Aleksandar Ćuković, members.

Last year, Milica Kralj received the "Pledge" award from the "Vladimir Mijušković" Library Association from Nikšić for the collection "Čisanice" (2021), which was published by "Štampar Makarije" from Belgrade and "Obodsko slovo" from Podgorica. Bajović's book of poems "The Road to the Fire" (2022), published by the Municipality of Plužine and the "Vladimir Mijušković" Literary Association from Nikšić, is dedicated to the beer victims who were killed in Doli, in the Second World War.

"The jury unanimously decided that the two prizes for the first published book, with the aim of encouraging the creativity of young talented poets, should be equally awarded to Marko Sandić from Pljevlja for the book 'Silent Forgiveness' (2021), published by the Association of Writers of Montenegro, and to Milisav Rosić from Mojkovac for the collection 'Drugi svijet' (2021), the publisher 'Lider mont media' from Kolašin. The prize for prose was not awarded this year, and the date of awarding the prizes to the laureates will be announced later," the announcement states.
