Promotion of the book "Plićak duše" Zoran Piperović translated from Montenegrin to Albanian, published by the Association of Albanian Creators in Montenegro, was held last weekend in the restaurant "Maštra" at the entrance to Valdanos bay.
The translator of the book dr Ghani Karamanaga he said that the book contains Piperović's memories of past times, his family, the sea, the river Bojana...
"The author expresses his thoughts, has a philosophical approach, describes the events in Montenegro in the past and present time... The impossibility of agreeing with the existing situation... He declares himself as a Serb in Montenegro who is tied to his homeland - Montenegro.. "He writes about his ancestors, who were known since the time of Ivan Crnojević, the founder of the city of Cetinje and present-day Montenegro. They were also active participants in the People's Liberation Army in Montenegro, for which they gave their lives," Karamanaga told Vijesta.
He stated that Piperović, who is now a lawyer, describes the events related to his childhood spent at the Pier in Ulcinj.
"The sea, turbulent waves hitting the ramparts of the Old Town, the Little City Beach and the rare snow at the bathing area - all this is related to his childhood on the Pier. Faithfully describes another Osman Leskovac, dr Fać Resulbegović. He mourns for them who were taken by the corona virus before their time," says Karamanaga about the book.
He adds that only the one who lived on the shore of the sea can feel and know its moods.
"That's why Piperović writes so beautifully about those times and events. The pier, the pine forest, Valdanos, the Bojana river, the turbulent sea, the ramparts of the Old Town. He writes about his parents with great respect and love. Father Luka was a policeman, fisherman, orchard grower. But above all a good man. He was the kind of policeman everyone should be today. He can be an example, especially in today's time when there are also those working in this institution who are concerned with the law, torture, and crime. He was a friend of many Ulcinians. He also hung out with the legendary photographer, black-harappa Riza Shurdha," says Karamanaga.
In the book, he states, Piperović's children, grandchildren and wife Vesna, whose premature departure left deep traces in the entire family, occupy an important place. At times, the author recalls the "S. Č affair", mentions the pains and sufferings of his entire family.
"He does not seek revenge for those who were the bearers and directors of those events, but he cannot forget," says Karamanaga and adds that it was a privilege and a pleasure for him to be friends with Piperović through the translation of the book-diary.
"This book-diary is also an account of coexistence in Ulcinj. Piperović especially socialized with Albanians in Ulcinj. Through this diary, encounters with Dautom Kurtović, an adventure with Grandfather Dževdet Zuberović. They will bring the little baby into the house on Pristan Adlija Ćirova Zuberović, there are also the comrades of today Midhat Nimanbegović, Sami Miseri...", says Karamanaga.
He states that the book translation project is at the same time a continuation of acquaintance between Montenegrin and Albanian creators in Montenegro.
They talked about the book at the promotion Ilir Chapuni, who was also the moderator of that literary evening, a writer Cheers to Ulcinak who was the editor of the Albanian language translation, then a young Montenegrin director Danilo Marunović, as well as the author himself.
About 50 admirers of the written word attended the promotion. She did the proofreading for the Albanian language Farije Husić, and the technical editor was Gazmend Chitak.
