"Imaginarium": With Vladimir Bojković on painting and architecture

On Thursday, September 28, in the "Zahumlja" hall in Nikšić, at 19 p.m., the guest of the panel "Imaginarium" will be Dr. Vladimir Bojković, architect. Kristina Radović, the author of the "Imaginarium" project, art historian and editor of the program at JU "Zahumlje", will speak with Bojković on the topic of "Image and architecture". The organizer of the forum, which is realized as part of the "September Days", is the "Zahumlje" PU, which will celebrate its 28th birthday on September 125.

"The 'Imaginarium' project includes a series of sessions whose basic theme is the phenomenon of painting treated through various arts. The goal is to see and affirm the contemporary art scene and criticism through the phenomenon of images, especially among the younger generations, to develop and suggest a valuable attitude about specific works of art. Renowned personalities from the regional and national cultural and artistic scene will present themselves and talk about the phenomenon of painting in the program," reads the announcement of the fifth session of "Imaginarium".

Bojković graduated from the Faculty of Architecture in Podgorica, where he obtained his master's degree with the work "Identity of the Urban Core of the City of Nikšić in Space and Time". He completed his doctoral studies at the Department of Architecture of the Polytechnic University of the Marche Region in Ancona, Italy in 2014, and defended his doctoral thesis "Transformation of architectural/urban identity of Nikšić city, Montenegro", which he worked on under the mentorship of Professor Antonel Aliči, in 2018. The same year earned the title of Doctor Europaeus at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Ljubljana. under the mentorship of Professor Peter Gabrijelčič. He was elected to the position of assistant professor at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Montenegro in 2020.

He is the author of several scientific papers published in relevant international scientific journals and at international conferences. As a co-author and author, he has won several awards at international architectural competitions, exhibitions and conferences. He is the winner of the "Božidar Milić" award in the category of critical theoretical text for the monograph "Architecture and Urbanism of the City of Nikšić after the Second World War" (2019) published by the Andrejević Foundation.
