Montenegrin actor, champion of the Montenegrin National Theater Slobodan Marunović, won the Grand Prix award at the International Monodrama Festival "The parade of winners 2023" in Mongolia.
As announced by Cezam production, Marunović, who closed the seventh international festival in Ulaanbaatar with the performance of the monodrama "Confession of Krsta Zrnova", besides the main prize of the festival, also earned the sincere admiration of the audience.
"Slobodan Marunović, your passion and incredible talent have inspired many young people who want to act. Thank you for participating in our festival in challenging circumstances", it is written on the official Facebook page of the International Monodrama Festival "The parade of winners".
The jury that awarded Marunović the Grand Prix of the festival consisted of theater critic and vice-president of the International Monodrama Forum ITI, Nina Mazur, Mentor Zimberaj from the International Theater Institute from Kosovo and Mr. Tsoght, general director of the Darkhan Youth Theater.
In addition to "Confessions of the Cross of Zrnov", 2023 other plays from Israel, Spain, Mongolia, Estonia, the Republic of Yakutia, Mexico and Montenegro were performed at the seventh International Monodrama Festival "The parade of winners 12".
The monodrama "Confession of Krsta Zrnov" premiered in 1996 at the Bar Chronicle.
Based on the text by Momir Marković, the play was directed by Blagota Eraković.
The role of Krsto Popović is played by the champion of the Montenegrin National Theater Slobodan Marunović.
Marunović's career was marked by characters from national history.
Recently, for the role of Njegoš in the monodrama "Potonja ura Njegoševa", he received the Best Europe Actor award at the "Glumac Evrope" festival in Prespa, North Macedonia, and this year he also received the award for acting bravura at the "Purgatory" festival, in the play "Deceased " by Branislav Nušić, directed by Egon Savin.
Cezam production said that Marunović will continue his Asian tour with a trip to Seoul, where he will participate in the traditional international poetry festival.
As they stated, this presentation of the Montenegrin state and its cultural identity will consist of several segments.
Cezam production said that Marunović will perform Slobodan Tomović's cult monodrama "Potonja ura Njegoševa" directed by Eraković in Seoul on October 7.
"Next, a poetic-theatrical performance is planned, in which verses of the most important Montenegrin poets will be spoken, and the mission of presenting our country will end with a conversation with the audience on the topic of the millennial state, cultural and historical continuity of Montenegro," Cezam production stated.
