Playwright and screenwriter, regular professor and director of the City Theater Podgorica Stevan Koprivica, is the recipient of recognition and the title "Professor Honoris Causa" (Honorary Professor), at the University of Evropa Prima from North Macedonia.
At a solemn ceremony in Skopje, the award was presented to Koprivica by a playwright and president of the University Jordan Plavnes who singled out his involvement as a professor as particularly significant in Koprivica's career.
"I proclaim you, in front of the image Socrates Yugoslav scenario Ratko Đurović, honorary professor of Evropa Prima University", addressed Plevneš Koprivica.
Koprivica, in addition to thanking the hosts, directors, students, faculty and family, also expressed the merits of the professors from whom he himself learned.
"My theatrical poetics, which I followed both as a writer and as a professor at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, and then at Cetinje, was based on values and ways of thinking derived from the educational foundations adopted by my professors: Jovan Hristić, Vladimir Stamenković, Ljubiša Đokić, Slobodan Selenić, and mentor Ratko Đurović. The dramaturgy of a well-told story, colorful characters, the structure and parameters of the Aristotelian theater were the other coordinating system in my forty or so written plays and my lectures in the field of drama technique," he said.
He mentioned some of the directors he worked with, such as: Milan Karadžić, Egon Savin, Branislav Mićunović, Jug Radivojević, Srboljub Božinović, Dejan Projkovski...
"My credo was, and it is respected in the performances of all these directors, theater must not be boring and must not leave the audience indifferent," said Koprivica.
Among the previous winners of this award are: John Malkovic, Jiri Menzl, Abdullah Sidran, Miki Manojlovic, Bora Draskovic, Aleksandar Morfov, Vladimir Georgijevski and others.
