Exhibition of paintings Dragana Pečurica will be opened today in Podgorica, in the hall of KIC "Budo Tomović", at 19 p.m., and is available to the public until October 26.
A writer Miraš Martinović believes that, although he is not an academic, Pechurica is a top painter, unique on the domestic art scene.
"If he were in Italy, France or Spain, and he were to exhibit his canvases, it would be a first-rate event. But, even without that, Pečurica today belongs to the top of contemporary Montenegrin painting... A painter who will be known soon", he assessed.
Calling him a painter of the sea, Martinović assessed that Pečurica's paintings are not crammed with elements for the sake of form, "but harmony is established through simplicity, which leaves a stamp on the idea of the work, freed from mere likability.".
