The members of NIN's jury of critics, consisting of Tamara Mitrović, Violeta Stojmenović, Milena Đorđijević, Žarka Svirčev and Goran Korunović, made the first selection, and out of a total of 188 novels accepted for the competition, 38 were selected to enter the wider selection, writes NIN.
They pointed out that on January 11, NIN will announce the shortlist, with short descriptions of the novels, the innermost circle and interviews with the finalists, seven days after that, while the jury will announce the name of the winner of NIN's award on the 29th. January 2024
"Until then, the laureate remains the writer Danica Vukićević, author of Unatrašnje moro, published by the publishing house Nojzac last year," they explained.
NIN emphasized that the list of 38 novels that remain in the competition is arranged chronologically, according to the order of arrival at their editorial office:
