Yesterday, the jury of the Nino Award for Novel of the Year presented a shortlist of 12 novels that are in competition for this year's award.
The jury that makes up Milena Đorđijević, Žarka Svirčev, Violeta Stojmenović, Tamara Mitrović, and which he presides over Goran Korunović, shortlisted the works: "The Year Without Spring" Adnan Repesa in the edition of "Laguna", "And then again, from the beginning" Filip Grujić whose publisher is "Booka", "Pesma o tri sveta" by Vladimir Pištal and "Agora" publishing house, "After the party" Steve Grabovac in the "Imprimatura" edition, "Jellyfish live forever until they are caught" by the author Nadje Petrović and publishing houses "Geopoetika", "Vila Fazanka" Bojan Krivokapića in the post "Arete", "Pakrac" Vladan Matijević Houses "Laguna", "Secret Wedding" Marko Pišev and Orfelin publishing house, the work "Remembrance" Dejan Ognjanović which is the author's edition and printing house "Sven", "Collectors of cases" Laura Barne published by the Niš Cultural Center, "Autosection" Srdjan Srdić published by the Partisan Book and the book "In the Land of Francis Joseph" Ljubomir Koracevića whose publisher is the Book Municipality of Vršac.
188 novels entered the competition. Although the wider selection included representatives of the Montenegrin literary and publishing scene, Marinko Vorgić with the novel "Empty graves and Vuk Vukovic with the novel "Smetnje", which were published within Kosmos publishing house, i.e. New Books, did not make it to the shortlist.
Nino announced that the shortlist will be known next week, while on January 29, around noon, the name of the 70th laureate of the prestigious award will be announced.
