Vujović: The involvement of Ivana Mrvaljević contributed to shaping the new geography of Montenegrin theater and film

The Minister of Culture and Media, Tamara Vujović, sent a telegram of condolence on the occasion of the death of prominent actress and producer Ivana Mrvaljević, the Ministry of Culture and Media announced.

"It was with deep sadness that I received the news of the premature passing of Ivana Mrvaljević, a dramatic artist of extraordinary sensibility and strong interpretation, an important protagonist of the Montenegrin theater and theater, as well as a cultural institution. Ivana Mrvaljević was an acting name whose masterful and sophisticated interpretations, as well as her work off stage, inspired and formed the audience, influenced artistic paradigms, sector and expression. Her engagement contributed to the shaping of the new geography of Montenegrin theater and film, enabling the accelerated development of the theater scene for the youngest. Ivana was elegant in her performance, authentic in her expression and passionate in honoring life through his involvement in all media of art and culture of living," the telegram states.

With bravura interpretations of characters for audiences of all ages, along with strong artistic integrity that she followed throughout her life, she made unforgettable theater roles in plays, of which 'Forever yours', 'Without a portfolio', as well as the theater project 'I think you should let's talk'. She will also be remembered for her great contribution to the work of the City and Royal Theatres. We are grateful to her for her refined and sensitive artistic handwriting, the life she dedicated to acting and producing, and we will remember her as an exceptional person and a true professional whose extraordinary spirit will live forever through her acting roles, occupying a special place in Montenegrin culture," Vujović said.

"On behalf of the Ministry of Culture and Media and my own name, I express my closeness to the family members in this difficult hour for them, to everyone who loved Ivana, as well as to the world of culture, which is suffering a significant loss," it concludes.
