The film "The shadow of the day" (L'ombra del giorno) by the Italian director Giuseppe Piconi will be shown tomorrow in Podgorica, at the Montenegrin Cinematheque, at 20 p.m. With this projection, the Embassy of Italy in Podgorica celebrates the International Day of Remembrance for the Victims of the Holocaust.
The film is in Italian, with an English translation, and admission is free, the Cinematheque announced.
"Lucano is a World War I veteran who runs a restaurant in a provincial Italian town. It is the late 1930s, and although Luciano sympathizes with fascism, he still retains a certain inner independence as he watches the world outside through the windows of his small kingdom. But one day his the peaceful life is disturbed by Ana, who is looking for a job," says the description provided by the Montenegrin cinema.
