The play depicts the last moments of the life of the poet, philosopher, bishop and lord of Montenegro through his dramatic confrontation with death and philosophical questioning about death, fate, God, love and the meaning of his existence.
"An excellent connoisseur of the life and works of Bishop Petar II Petrović Njegoš, Prof. Dr. Slobodan Tomović in an ingenious and authentic way wove the text into this dramatic work and thus immortalized the essence of Njegoš's thought to which we still need to return today. On the other hand, just as masterfully, director Blagota Eraković created a great directorial solution that, even after 35 years, does not fade and does not stop delighting domestic and international theater audiences," reads the CNP announcement.
