The fifteenth international documentary film festival "Underhill" will be opened on June 12 at the "Dragan Ivanović" basketball court in Njegoševo Park in Podgorica, when the film "We have no other country" directed by a collective of Israeli and Palestinian filmmakers will be screened - Basel Adra, Hamdan Ballal, Yuval Abraham i Rachel Szor. The film "We have no other country" was awarded for the best documentary film at this year's 74th Berlin Film Festival, where it also won the audience award.
At the 15th "Underhill Fest", which will last from June 12 to 20, the Podgorica audience will be able to watch 30 films - the best of the past year - in Njegošev Park, the Montenegrin Cinematheque and in the CKZ "Ribnica". It's a movie selector Vuk Perovic. As in previous years, feature films are divided into three selections: international, regional and out-of-competition, and short documentaries will be shown in the "seven short" selection. As part of the festival, the program "In focus" will be held, which Underhill realizes in cooperation with the Center for Women's Rights.
In CKZ Ribnica, a program dedicated to music documentaries will be shown. "Teen Docs", a documentary film school for high school students, will also be held this year.
The jury of the Underhill fest for feature films will be a director Ivana Todorović, producer Sabina Krešić and director Branislav Milatović. Awards in the short documentary film category will be decided by an actor Miso Obradovic, director Matija Jovanovic i Milena Prelevic, cultural manager.
At the opening of Underhill Fest, there will be a concert by the cult Belgrade band "Lira Vega" and a DJ performance Dejan Vučetić Vuča, while at the closing of the festival, the most famous Montenegrin hip-hop duo Who See will hold a concert.
