Exhibition of a famous Montenegrin painter Predrag Gazivode, entitled "44", will be held tonight at 19 pm in the gallery of the Center for Culture in the Capital of Cetinje.
"The authentic and recognizable works of the famous Montenegrin naive painter Predrag M. Gazivoda leave no one indifferent. His works are in museums and private collections around the world, and his work is represented in the World Encyclopedia of Naive Art, the Lexicon and Encyclopedia of Ex Yugoslavia, the Anthology of Painters and Sculptors of Naive Art of Serbia, Montenegro and the Republic of Srpska, the monograph 'Montenegro Painters'". they announced from the Cultural Center of the Capital City of Cetinje.
Predrag M. Gazivoda was born in Cetinje in 1952, where he still lives and creates. He participated in over 100 group and individual exhibitions in the country and abroad.
He had solo exhibitions in Cetinje, Herceg Novi, Dubrovnik, Sveti Stefan, Belgrade, Ostend, Kotor, Podgorica, Petnjica, and was also a participant in group exhibitions in Moscow, Stuttgart, Svetozarevo, Washington, New York, Geneva, Split, Zadar... .
He is a participant in a large number of art colonies in the former Yugoslavia. At the representative exhibition of the Yugoslav naive in 1996 in the IMF gallery in Washington, his painting "Departure" was bought, which is the first Montenegrin exhibit in the permanent exhibition of the IMF.
He is the winner of the award "13. novembar" of the Capital of Cetinje in 1998 for painting, as well as a number of other awards, diplomas and recognitions.
