Promotion of the book about captains and sailing ships of Prčanje

The book "Captains and sailing sailors of Prčanja", authored by the late Petar Palavršić, former long-time curator of the maritime-technical collection at the Maritime Museum of Montenegro in Kotor, and prepared for publication by Željko Brguljan, will be presented tonight, at 20 pm, in the gallery of the Maritime Museum of Montenegro. Up.

On behalf of the publisher, the director of the Maritime Museum, Maja Uskoković, will address the attendees, and art historian Radojka Abramović, and professor, poet and publicist Željko Brguljan will speak about the book.

The book "Captains and sailors of Prčanje" was created from a manuscript that Petar Palavršić left posthumously to Željko Brguljan - a great lover of the history of Prčanje and the author of several books on the maritime, social and cultural-artistic past of this small town in Bokej with a huge maritime heritage.

This work represents the most complete description and lists of captains and sailors from Prčany who left an indelible mark on Boklje seafaring, especially in the 18th and 19th centuries.

Earlier in 2018, Petar Palavršić published a similar capital work of his in the edition of the Maritime Museum of Montenegro - the book "Captains and sailors of Herceg Novi" with which he literally left a historical-literary and documentary monument to the seafaring of the Novi region.
