Tonight on the stage of the Nikšić Theater, starting at 20:XNUMX p.m., the play "Hero of the Nation" will be premiered, based on the text by Ivan M. Lalić, adapted and directed by Milan Nešković. The repeat performance is scheduled for the following day at the same time.
The play features: Vladan Gajović, Biljana Keskenović, Stevan Vuković, Maja Stojanović and Ljubomir Bandović/Nikola Vasiljević. Set design is by Vesna Sušić, costume design by Margareta Šobot, and music by the groups Autogeni trening and Azilanti.
"No matter how many times it has been said, it cannot be avoided because it is true: just as the cell is the basic building block of every living organism, so the family has always been the basic cell of society. The hearth is a part of the family space intended for lighting a fire, around which the family would gather in order to bond. Over time, the concept of hearth becomes one of the most important symbols in early human culture, which shows and preserves identity, as well as the existence of the community in general," said director Milan Nešković on the occasion of the premiere.
Nešković was born in Valjevo. He graduated in theater directing at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, in the class of Nikola Jevtić and Alisa Stojanović. He himself is engaged in pedagogical work as an associate professor at the Academy of Arts in Belgrade. He has been awarded several times for his theater writing, and for many years he has been active in various fields of culture in the region.
"The hearth of the modern age is the television. All our furniture is directed towards him. For more than half a century, we gather around it and establish the identity of our family through one-way communication with that magical screen. However, what happens when communication becomes two-way? Is it possible for the hearth to become the cause of the breakup of a family? Flooded with media and social networks, we are becoming more and more alienated and becoming a society without empathy. The word society has become far and wide. We were born from society, there is still a family left. She is a refuge from everything that happens to us or that is served to us. This is where we find comfort, love and hugs, where we are not ashamed of our own tears. When family members lose empathy for each other, is it the final end of society or just the cell that makes us a living organism? ", are the words of Nešković, who is directing for the first time at the Nikšić Theater.
The design of the poster for the play with which the Nikšić Theater opens the theater season was done by Vesna Sušić, and the author of the photos is Duško Miljanić.
