This is the assessment of the meeting that the Minister of Culture and Media, Tamara Vujović, had with the Ambassador of the United States of America (USA) in Montenegro, Judy Reising Reinke, and Hollis Gillespie, an expert of the American government and director of the Nevada State Museum in Las Vegas, who is staying in Montenegro, in order to provide professional support to national museums.
The Ministry of Culture and Media (MKM) announced that Vujović thanked the US Embassy for its support and the opportunity to host Gillespie, a participant in the Fulbright program, convinced that her stay in Montenegro will result in quality recommendations for improving the work and presentation of rich cultural heritage and contemporary creativity. in our museums.
"This visit is very important for the Montenegrin cultural scene and it is very important for us to continue cooperation with international partners in order to further improve cultural institutions. We are grateful for the opportunity to host an expert in museology and cultural heritage. This is an opportunity to see how to integrate something new and how to be better in the presentation of our creativity and culture. I hope that we will have new ideas and other visits by experts to our institutions," Vujović said.
The MKM stated that during the meeting they also discussed the current projects of the US Embassy on the preservation of the cultural heritage of Montenegro, and highlighted the importance of continued cooperation in those areas.
Rajnke stated that this is one of a series of joint activities and pointed out that she is available to the Ministry for new initiatives to improve the cultural sector in Montenegro.

The use of modern technologies and engaging the audience are some of the primary activities that should be implemented in the coming period", Gillespie thinks.
Vujović said that she was honored by the kind words about Montenegrin art, and that she believes that Montenegro has a lot to present in the world of culture, but she agrees that there are problems that need to be solved.
"In Montenegro, we analyze the problems and their causes in detail, but there are often no proposals for solutions, and that's why I especially appreciate that you gave us solutions, suggestions and examples of good practice from American museums," said Vujović.
In the end, Vujović expressed her gratitude for the long-term support of the USA, stressing that projects like this are crucial for the improvement of the Montenegrin cultural sector and its contribution to the path to European integration.
