Vanja Jovićević Award for Best Young Actress

The performance "I think we should talk" closed the competition part of the International Festival of Actors "Plot 16" in Banja Luka, which was held in the production of the City Theater Jazavac from October 20 to 26.

The Podgorica City Theater was presented in the best possible way, which was shown through the applause of the audience, as well as the awards... According to the decision of the expert jury, the award for the best young actress was won by Vanja Jovićević for the role of Mira in the play "I think we should talk".

The jury consisted of a theater expert from Banjeluka Mladen Šukalo, director Nikola Bundalo i Belinda Stijak from the National Theater of RS.

"With his creative engagement and dedicated acting, Jovićević carries the rhythm of the play and excels in its very demanding parts... In each of these parts, Jovićević manages to credibly present the development arc of the heroine he portrays," the jury stated in the explanation.

Jovićević said that she perceives the award as a recognition of her overall acting work and growth...

"I think that the award comes to the actor as recognition for his growth as an actor, and not for one specific role, at least that's how I feel it is in my case. This is the most difficult role I've had so far, but I still believe that the previous years of work, effort and some sacrifices contributed to me growing and maturing as an actress and moving the limits of my possibilities several fields forward. I'm grateful to the jury for recognizing this, I'm grateful to my home theater, my colleagues who make up the ensemble of plays, and I'm also grateful to my family and friends who have been my biggest support all these years... Thank you to the audience for always being there, following and cheering for my successes", said Jovićević.

The audience award for the best actor of the evening, which is awarded every night after the performance, went to him Milivoj Miša Obradović.

The City Theater of Podgorica said that they were "infinitely proud of permanent member Vanja Jovićević, as well as the award she brings to her mother house and to the joy of all of us", and they also sent their congratulations to the associate Obradović, "with gratitude for always being a part of our team"...

Acting Director of the City Theatre Ivona Čović Jaćimović she pointed out that competitive festivals will be a priority of that theater company in the future.

At this year's festival, which took place under the slogan "Full Steam", the competition program included, in addition to the City Theatre's performance, the following: "Cowboys" by the Prijedor Theatre, "How I Learned to Drive" by Hartefakt, "Kramer vs. Kramer" by the Belgrade Drama Theatre, "Girls" ” Collective of Actresses/HNK Rijeka and “Death of a Man in the Balkans” by the National Theater of Kikinda.

The play "How I Learned to Drive" by Hartefakt Theater from Belgrade, directed by Tara Manić, it was declared the best at the "Zaplet" festival, and the actors from it also won awards. The best actress was declared Marta Bogosavljević for the role of Malecka, and the award for the best actor was awarded by the jury Svetozar Cvetković, from the same play. He is the best young actor Miroslav Sinkic for the role of Branko Marić in the play "Cowboys" of the Prijedor theater, the jury decided... According to the audience's assessment, the best play is "Cowboys" with a rating of 4,97, and according to their votes, the actors of the evening were Snježana Mišić, Marko Vukosav, Marta Bogosavljević, Andrija Kuzmanović, Anja Sabol and Milivoje Obradović.
