Theater always ennobles, teaches and inspires, and the Ministry of Culture and Media (MKM) will always support positive aspirations in the theater industry - Minister of Culture and Media Tamara Vujović said at the opening of the jubilee 20th International Actor's Festival - Nikšić 2024.

In the statement of the MKM, it is stated that she said that she was very glad to see the festive atmosphere, the full hall and the satisfied organizers of the great theater review.

"The Ministry of Culture and Media supports this festival, it supported your big jubilee this spring, it supports your theater and publishing activities, and it will always be there to support your aspirations for the better," said Vujović.

She said that it is nice to see the progress and multitude of ideas that the NP management has and a very clear vision - to bring the audience back to the Nikšić theater in large numbers, to offer good texts, daring direction with their own strengths or with distinguished guests from the region.

However, she stressed, these evenings are dedicated to actors.

MKM said that the festival under the slogan "Life for Life" was officially opened last night in the Nikšić Theater, and that it was officially opened by the president of the award jury, prominent actor, writer and director Zijah A. Sokolović.

"This year, in addition to Sokolović, the awards will be decided by members: actress Vesna Čipčić and Bitef theater director Miloš Latinović. According to the selection of the selector, Jelena Stajkovac, five plays will compete for the Festival awards, while the sixth will be performed in honor of the awardees. After the appropriate speech at the opening of the Festival, there followed a bravura performance by Teatra &TD from Zagreb with young up-and-coming names, which ended the first night of the Festival in the best possible way," says the MKM press release.
