The winner of the regional literary award "Ćamil Sijarić" is Svetislav Basara, author of the book "Recapitulation".
This was announced by the president of the jury, Kemal Music, at a press conference in Bijelo Polje.
This year, the "Vojislav Bulatović Strunjo" Culture Center in Bijelo Polje established the regional literary award "Ćamil Sijarić" for the best prose work in Montenegro, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia.
The selection included 17 books proposed by selectors and jury members from Montenegro and the three neighboring countries.
In the innermost circle were the books: "War" by Miljenko Jergović, "Cut down the tall trees" by Nikola Nikolić, "Recapitulation" by Svetislav Basara and "The Anatolian Letter" by Zlatko Topčić.
The award ceremony will take place on December 18 in Bijelo Polje.
