Solo exhibition "Concrete" by a young Montenegrin artist Stefan Todorović will be opened tomorrow in Podgorica, in the Art Pavilion of the Association of Fine Artists of Montenegro (ULUCG) at 20 p.m.
The installation "Concrete" explores the symbolism and materiality of contemporary society, according to the announcement.
"Through a series of over 15 large-format works, Todorović examines the relationship between permanence and change, resilience and decay. His paintings balance between abstraction and recognizability, inviting viewers to reflect on the social structures and everyday experiences that shape our reality. Drawing inspiration from mythologies, personal histories and recycled materials, he reinvents discarded objects as bearers of new stories," the announcement states.
Todorović is known for his specific artistic expression and award-winning work. His career includes solo exhibitions in Belgrade, Podgorica and Paris, as well as participation in the prestigious Cité internationale des arts residency program in Paris. Among the awards won, the award for drawing at the XVIII Biennale of Student Drawing and the award "Milunović, Stijović, Lubarda" at the 71st traditional exhibition of the ULUCG, as well as the award of the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts for young creators in the fields of science and art in 2016 stand out.
The exhibition will be open until the fourth of December.
