Representatives of six theaters, gathered in the Regional Union of Theaters (RUTA), signed a new cooperation protocol for the next five years.
Since this year, the Tivat Culture Center is officially part of this important theater union. The management board of RUTA and theater directors emphasized the importance of the network of the Regional Union of Theaters, which has become one of the most frequent and significant regional platforms, as well as plans for future progress and development.
"I am very pleased that we are entering a new five-year cycle of cooperation within the Regional Union of Theaters (RUTA). The idea of this union, launched five years ago, has proven to be extremely successful, bringing numerous benefits both to the audience throughout the region and to us, theater professionals, through the exchange of experiences, cooperation and inspiration. I am especially glad that the Tivat Culture Center has become part of our community. Their enthusiasm and contribution will be of great importance for the future of RUTA. I believe that we will all continue to work together with equal enthusiasm and success, to the joy of theater audiences throughout the region," he said. Jug Radivojevic, as an authorized person of the Regional Union of Theaters (RUTA).
"I have to express great satisfaction that the Tivat Culture Center is becoming a partner in the Regional Union of Theaters. I am grateful to the board of directors for recognizing us as a credible partner. Being in RUTA as a representative of the state of Montenegro is a huge honor and privilege, it places us in a leadership position among regional theaters, side by side with the most prestigious theaters in the region. Membership in RUTA is of great importance for Montenegro, especially for Tivat, which, in addition to Belgrade, Ljubljana, Sarajevo, Skopje and Brijuna, becomes the host of this prestigious regional festival. With serious and dedicated work, numerous results in theater production, especially recently, and the organization of the Mediterranean Theater Festival Purgatory, we have positioned Tivat as one of the most important centers of theater art in the region, and with this partnership we definitely confirm that. It is a remarkable thing that we have a secure placement of our theater production in all countries of the former Yugoslavia, especially since our plays mostly live on festivals and guest appearances," said the director of the Tivat Culture Center. Goran Božović.
He added that they expect CZK Tivat to justify the trust shown to them by being a member of RUTA, as well as to continue and intensify successful and fruitful cooperation with other theater companies that are members of that association.
