The series “Pixel About Stone” by the author Petar Burić will premiere today in Podgorica, at the Studio Stage of the Montenegrin National Theatre (CNP), at 20 p.m.
The author of the project, Petar Burić, is inspired by the stories Slobodan Cukic, "Marija Andrijina Perović", "Barjaktar Kustudija" and "Mujo Maliković" published in the book "A Different History: Stories about Monuments, Tombs and the Dead" created a series of three episodes of documentary-fiction content, which deal with the Montenegrin past, according to a statement from the CNP.
"Each story explores a universal human virtue - forgiveness, willpower, and humanity. These values have been crucial to shaping individuals and communities throughout history, and they are equally important today," the announcement states.
The series, CNP adds, is primarily intended for young people aged 12 to 25, designed as an innovative blend of digital and traditional, with the aim of providing the younger generation with an educational and inspiring experience.
"Its essence lies in the idea of conveying to young people, through familiar forms and the aesthetic language of the modern digital world, universal and timeless values that are woven into Montenegrin history," the statement reads.
The project was realized in the production of the Festival of International Alternative Theatre - FIAT with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Media, through the competition "Youth Culture - Culture of the Future", as well as the Montenegrin National Theatre.
After the film screening, a conversation with the author of the project, Petar Burić, and the author of the stories from which the script was written, Slobodan Čukić, was announced.
