Famous Montenegrin theater, television and film actor Momčilo Momo Pićurić has passed away at the age of 79.
The Montenegrin National Theatre (CNP), of which he was a lifelong member, said goodbye to his friend and colleague "with deep pain, respect and gratitude."
The statement said that Pićurić was an actor with a strong stage presence and deep emotional expressiveness, who marked the theater and film space of Montenegro with his authenticity.
Momčilo Momo Pićurić was born on May 26.5.1947, 1973 in Nikšić. After graduating from the Faculty of Economics, in 1993 he began working at the Children's Theatre (today's City Theatre) in Podgorica. From the Children's Theatre he moved to the Montenegrin National Theatre, where he became a permanent member of the ensemble in XNUMX. The CNP said that Pićurić will be remembered for numerous other significant roles in theater, film, and television.
They expressed their condolences to his family and said that the public would be informed in due course about the date of the commemoration.
Pićurić will be buried today, June 12th at 15 pm at the New Cemetery in Podgorica.
His colleagues, including director Ivan Marinović, with whom he worked on the last film "Alive and Healthy", said goodbye to Pićurić on social media.
"Towards the end of filming, I asked him what he thought about everything, would he miss anything? He thought for a moment and with sadness in his eyes he quietly said, 'what a beautiful role, really'. It was really nice to share every moment with you Momo. Rest in peace, wonderful man. Friend. Man," Marinović wrote.
