The Bijelo Polje audience greeted the acting in the inclusive theater play "Thoughts in Silence" directed by Branka Otasevic, which was performed at the Cultural Center in Bijelo Polje, as part of the third evening of the 54th Amateur Drama Festival.
The play “Thoughts in Silence” is inspired by the fifth poetry collection “A Suitcase of Lost Words” by the poet Nade Matovic from Berane, a person with a disability, who through her verses bravely and gently speaks about love, loneliness, acceptance and the life of a "flower made of stone", as she often describes herself.
The production is signed by the company Modesty MK, Klara Radonjic, while the project was co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and Media of Montenegro through the program for the development of culture in the north, in support of decentralization and accessibility of culture to all citizens.
In addition to Nada Matović, the roles are performed by Radovan Džuver, Lina Ciguljin, as well as professional actors Sladjana Merdovic i Predrag Vukojevic, with the contribution of young people from the "Tisa" Day Center from Bijelo Polje.
Matović told "Vijesti" that the impressions after the play were incredible, reminding that it is a special honor for every author when their work is heard about, especially in circumstances when it is a great honor and pleasure for every author when their work is heard about, it means that what they do is not in vain," she said, adding that this is the second performance of the play, which premiered on May 29 at the Bijelo Polje Cultural Center.
That same evening, also with applause and ovations, the ensemble of the Pljevlja Cultural Center performed the play “Mr. Hunter.” It is a comedy based on a text by the famous French writer. Georges Feydeau, in adaptation and direction Jovan Jelovac.
The audience had the opportunity to enjoy this contemporary and humorous interpretation of the classic farce, presented through the comedy "Mr. Hunter", which depicts universal life situations through intricate family and social relationships. The performance brings a blend of traditional theater and modern expression, with carefully designed scenography, music and choreography.
For the actors from Pljevlja, this festival was, as they say, both an obligation and an added burden, because they were last year's winners, who set themselves a higher, more difficult and complicated task.
"The cast is also larger when it comes to the acting division. We tried to surpass last year's level, and the additional wind at our back was the audience, which is proof that we are on the right track," said Jelovac.
