The 19th Guitar Art Summer Fest, which will last in Herceg Novi from August 1st to 6th, will begin with a concert by Spanish artist Luz Casal at the Kanli Tower.

As reported by the RTHN portal, five more concerts will be held during the festival at Mića Pavlović Square, and this year there will also be guitar integrations led by Zoran Dukić and Guitar visual art.

One of the most recognized Spanish artists, Luz Casal, will hold a concert on August 1st at the Kanli Tower, her first time performing in Montenegro. As announced by the festival director Boško Radojković, it will be a night of music, emotions and unforgettable elegance.

"Get ready for an exclusive concert full of passion, love, sadness, hope and beauty. This is a historic moment for the Montenegrin audience, the first encounter with an artist whose songs know no borders. She doesn't perform often, and when she does, it's an experience that remains etched forever. Her voice doesn't enter through the ears, but directly through the heart, and whether you understand Spanish or not, you will understand every word because emotions have no translation," said Radojković.

The festival will close with a concert by world-class guitarist Zoran Dukić from Croatia and a performance by the best Montenegrin students and young guitar teachers, participants in the guitar integration project, said Radojković.

"Workshops will be held at the Music School with 10 to 15 specially selected young guitarists from Montenegro. Every year we hold a small competition with the aim of including lower and secondary music schools and the Academy in Cetinje. We will also include young professors and provide free education and work with a great mentor," said Radojković.

As part of Guitar Visual Art this year, an exhibition of photographs by Želimir Gvojić and Duško Vukić will be opened at the Sue Radjer Gallery, announced journalist Vitka Vujnović, reports RTHN.

"Both artists are, simply put, legends of concert photography. I don't think there is a music festival they haven't covered in a very specific way. With magical skill, they find those moments when the musician and the instrument, especially the guitar, are one. They also find unusual moments in the life of Herceg Novi, which they love immensely, and Belgrade, where they live," said Vujnović.

The President of the Municipality of Herceg Novi, Stevan Katić, said that this festival is deeply embedded in the culture of Herceg Novi and always has the support of the Municipality, which is growing every year.

"This festival brings the most important names performing for the first time in Montenegro, or Herceg Novi, as will be the case this time when the Spanish diva Luc Casal comes. I invite all guests and residents of Novi to come to the festival and enjoy music and art," said Katić.

In addition to the performance of Luz Kasal and Zoran Dukić, there will also be concerts by the flamenco quintet Vientos del Eresma, Baka Jovanović, who holds the title of the world's first tamburitza player, the French-Serbian quartet Dah Balkana, and the guitar band Diachroniko. Tickets for the Luz Kasal concert are on sale for 40 euros, and the other evenings are free.
